Or gills when we are away.

To be considered the 'best fans when we are away' you'd actually have to turn up. All 99 of you don't quite cut it when the likes of Plymouth manage to bring 1,000s from the opposite end of the country, in the middle of Christmas and did not shut up once.

Best away fans I've seen in recent years - Plymouth or Brighton.

Best fans I've ever seen 1860 Munich. They put English fans to shame.

Becuase you take more fans to games does dont make you better.

Does the fact that you are a bunch of whinging pikey wankers make you better?

Personally I hope you go out of business PRONTO.

So tell me, how 99 Gillingham fans who didn't open their mouths and most of whom walked out before full time are better than 1,000s of Plymouth fans who stayed for the full 90 and sang non stop?

Best fans to me kinda means staying to support your team, singing and chanting even if you're losing and bascially being the 12th man? Is that different to your definition?

I take it you went to Doncaster then. Even Southend had 1,100 fans at Doncaster this season.

You are pathetic :nono:

O yeah, and according to the local radio station, the Canterbury manager may have an interview for the vacancy :lolol: Didn't even know Canterbury had a football team!

But unlike Mr Gilly, I have no delusions of grandeur.
Which is odd, because you support LEEDS and he supports GILLINGHAM. :lolol:

Unlike most people I'm not so blind that I automatically believe my own club possess the best fans around.

For my money, the best fans are tested when a team is doing shite - "where were you when you were shite" etc. In that regard I always spit feathers when Geordies always seem to get the recognition. Sorry but a couple of weeks before KK took over the crowds were bollocks.

If you are looking for sheer numbers turning up and supporting when a club is down and struggling, then stand up and take a bow, fans of ....

Manchester City.

Spot on. The misery poor old Man City fans have had to endure, huh? One season in the division we now call League One. It must've been tough for them, what with a Wembley play-off final victory and all that, but they stuck with it.

Heroes, one and all.

At least Sheffield Wednesday had the decency to spend a couple of seasons down there.

To be fair Weds fans run them fairly close, as the crowds they were getting last season were incredible.

But it's still City fans for me. Having been relegated their average attendance and season ticket sales rose, with crowds in the region of 30,000 most weeks at Maine Road.

Different class.
