I much prefer the French flag of the late 1930’s that was introduced, a very striking white cross on a white background

I thought that was the Italian one. I’m sure the French flag depicted a lump of cheese and a monkey with its hands up.

Le Tricolore is possibly better but the French anthem is 100% better than our dirge.

Agree entirely. UF is a bit like a Jackson Pollock, very busy mess but unmistakeable.
