Before I even opened the thread I was thinking Jan Molby. I was living in Liverpool in 1991-94 and this huge woman was walking down Bold Street wearing a Liverpool top. A bloke near me shouted in thick scouse " Oi, luv, is that Jan Molby's shirt?". She spat at him and shouted "f*** off!"

Barry Fitch - he made 1 appearance for Albion in '63. I saw him playing for Salisbury in the late 70s & he was enormous - made Pavarotti look anorexic.

well seeing as pretty average players command ludicrous transfer fees these days i would imagine a slimline 16stone matt would set you back a pretty penny , a truly wonderfull player to watch

Micky Quinn Scored a hatrick at the Goldstone last one was the back of his head who remembers that ??

Blimey, I was at that game. Think Newcastle beat us 3-0.

I was nicknamed Micky Quinn at my football team because I was a bit tubby round the edges but could knock em away. Ha!

Before opening the thread I thought Jan Molby and Frannie Lee.

But for Albion I'm thinking Paul Clark. He probably wasn't fat at all, just a bit thicker set than the rest of the team, and for his goal in the 3-1 win over Spurs he could weigh a ton for all I care.

And one final thing - that fat cricketer, is it just the way the shirt creases over his gut, but the sponsors name looks like FatC unt!
