The Hill of The Gun
It's very good, but because of 'This Old Heart Of Mine (Is Weak For You) and 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', I'd prefer Volume 3. (Or Motown Gold, but then we're probably into best box sets)
To be honest, I love all of the Motown Chartbusters. I just picked Volume 4 at random.

The best of Fleetwood Mac, but the original 1960's incarnation. Man of the World, Green Manalishi, Need Your Love so Bad, Albatross.

I recently bought a greatest Hits album of Georgie Fame - going back to the Blue Flames days. They were pretty good

I bought a sampler album of Island Records in 1970 called Bumpers. It was pretty good!

Brilliant album, I had that too, along with Fill Your Head With Rock and The Rock Machine Turns You On. CBS sampler compilations I seem to remember. Would love to get all three on my ipad

Boring By Sea
This was the album that introduced me to The Monochrome Set and Felt. Also an Atilla contribution. Ok- not the best compilation in the world but at 99p it’s worthy of note.

West is BEST
I used to quite like some of the comp albums that the NME used to give away. Back in the days when they actually taped a CD to the front of the mag. The cover albums could be fantastic. Two of my favourites which still get an airing are Cash covered (johnny Cash) and The Clash covered. Some absolute stormers on there.

I also still pull out The Dirtchamber Sessions every now and again. Track 2 is an absolute BANGER!!!

Never really thought of a collection of tunes by the same artist as a compilation. You learn something new everyday!
