Err, we ARE allowed have different opinions, Kev.

And in my opinion, the Beatles were a f***ing BOY BAND and nothing more.

No offence, but you're just showing your ignorance there.

Unfortunately, your image of The Beatles is clearly gleened from footage you have seen from their early period - around 62-65 - when, to all intents and purposes, they were a boy band. Love me do and all that shite is not the reason why I love The Beatles - I can't stand most of that crap.

If you listen to anything from Revolver onwards you will hear probably the most innovative, forward thinking band who ever lived.

They single-handedly invented about 4 genre's between 66-70 and wrote some of the most ground-breaking tracks ever.

Have you even heard of Helter Skelter, I am the Walrus or Tomorrow Never Knows (the first ever dance track - about 25 years early)?? Not your average boyband songs really are they.

I'd say it started before Revolver, Rubber Soul was the way forward.

Tomorrow Never Knows was way ahead of its time and still sounds just as good today.

Same for Helter Skelter - pretty much invented Heavy Metal (perhaps not a good thing).
