In my time the best keepers BHAFC have had imho are:

Peter Grummitt and Joe Corrigan

Favourite: Eric Groucho Steele

Best goalie performance against us

Andy Goram for Oldham in a 1-1 draw, where we dominated, and it looked like we would never score

Phil Parkes for Walsall in a FA Cup second replay at Fulham's ground. We lost 2-1.

Any other views?

It's an interesting question. I don't think we've ever had a REALLY outstanding keeper. Most clubs seem to have had at least one goalkeeping legend in their past who was undisputedly the business and played hundreds of games for them but we never have. Lots of goodish ones but none great.

I'd agree re Peter Grummitt but I think Corrigan was past his best when he was here.

Good enough to keep Ian Rush from scoring on that memorable Sunday afternoon in 1984. From memories of it though if Rush had been handed a banjo that afternoon and asked to whack the backside of a nearby cow he would have missed. Who else was playing up front for Liverpool that day?

Been thinking about this since the last time this question was on here. We've had some good keepers in the 50 or so years I've been watching, but I STILL think it was Dave Hollins.

Dalglish?

For me its John Keeley but he was the first keeper I saw regularly. Ben Roberts has got to be up there as well

If he had another 4 inches in height he would have been amazing!

Great shot stopper.

Plus not bad in midfield! - He played there for Southwick.

Which reminds me Geoff Sidebottom was a class act.

All over the place
Keeley for me by a mile..............Tony Meola, LOL. I remember he played in the 3-3 draw at home to Wolves on the 1st day of the season (in 1990 I think) and in the 2nd game away at Watford he was playing for them!!! Bizarre.....
