Now we have Hinshelwood back, what do you think is our best back four.

I haven't seen Hinshelwood at right back, but looking at height and the amount of headers Virgo wins, anyone think that our best formation would be...

Hinshelwood Virgo Elphick Richards

I don't recall Hinsh playing for us at RB for years, only really early on in his career for us when Paul Watson was injured and before McGhee brought Virgo back to the fold.

For what it's worth, my preferred back four would be..

Whing-Hinsh-Virgo-Richards.

Maybe we could do what we did in the Coppell days and go 5-3-2, so we could include Elphick there too.

From players we own:

Whing - Elphick - Hinshelwood - Lynch

From player we actually have:

Whing - Elphick - Hinshelwood - Richards

Why are some people still carrying on with this pretence that Lynch could play at left back. He is a decent centre-back, but a SHOCKING left back. I would genuinnely far rather have Mayo there than Lynch.

Well he has been playing there week in week out for Forest so that might be why...

Right here, right now
Good man! Plus it covers for the fact Richards seems better at going forward than defending at the moment.
Don't they all!?!?!

remember the game against mansfield when we lost? Probably the worst permormance of the season? Both the goals comming from the right wing. Guess who the left back was. None other than your god Joel Lynch.

Why has no-one opted for Hawkins? :dunce:

Richards (LB)
Virgo (CB)
Hinshelwood (CB)
Whing (RB)

If we had lynch he would play CB with Hinsh moving to RB and Whing out

Cook El-Abd Hawkins Mayo :jester:

Whing Elphick Lynch Richards :albion2: or maybe Lynch at left back and Hinshelwood alongside Elphick :glare: but the present back four of Whing Hinshelwood Elphick Richards is sufficient without Lynch
