Portslade is a bit of a winner for me. Nice old village, right on the downs, right near the beach, good transport links into town
..oh and it's pretty cheap compared with most places...

Queens Park OWNS Hanover, so we get the best of both worlds. Loadsa pubs and a nice park
The only part of Brighton where house prices are affordable. All the ex council houses in Bevendean , Moulscoomb and Hollingdean that come up for sale are aimed at the student lettings market and command a premium price.Who voted for Whitehawk I wonder?.
