It is true he was called in the Squad as an emergency player in about 1995.I remember it on the back of the Argus and that truth itself.
 






I think most people who go that far back and saw him would go for Peter Grummit - I remeber a stunning save in the south end from Brian Talbot aginst Ipswich - the second best save ever IMHO, after Gordon banks against Pele.
In recent times, I'd go for Kuipers - granite (usually!) in the two championship seasons and had the knack of making great saves at the right time. A brilliant save when you are three up or three down is brilliant but worth nothing - when you're 1 goal up and hanging on with 5 mins to go it's brilliant AND worth two points. I can remember many of those by the FDM
