Nelson.

Brentford.

You know the rest...

Has anyone ever tracked down any footage of that? It's always mentioned as 'greatest Albion goal ever'... Stupidly didn't go even tho I was in London at the time.

My best would probably be Lawrenson's against Wolves in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat at the Goldstone, Jan 79. He ran virtually the entire length of the pitch to score. Class goal by a class player.

Gerry Ryan, when he ran down the wing, cut inside and smashed the ball into the net after beating half the Man. City team at the Goldstone plus of course the Mark Lewrenson length of the pitch and scoring goal.

For feeling, Buckley's 2nd v Donnie.

Harley's free kick v Peterborough last term was pretty good as well.

Famously it was never recorded. Nelson mentioned that in an interview i saw not long back though i forget where. Wish i'd been there, it sounded sublime.

Having missed most of the worldys i'd have to go for Wilkins against Ipswich last minute of the season free kick in 1991 to smuggle us into the play-offs. Only Buckley's second against Doncaster, Leon Knight's penalty against Bristol City and Virgo's equaliser against Ipswich to keep us in the championship compare.

My personal favourites are Wilkins vs Ipswich and Nelson vs Arsenal (FAC4).
