The goal on exactly one minute above. I forget who that was against but I remember the goal well! Especially the way the water just sprayed up off the net, amazing stuff.
Has anyone ever tracked down any footage of that? It's always mentioned as 'greatest Albion goal ever'... Stupidly didn't go even tho I was in London at the time.
My best would probably be Lawrenson's against Wolves in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat at the Goldstone, Jan 79. He ran virtually the entire length of the pitch to score. Class goal by a class player.
Having missed most of the worldys i'd have to go for Wilkins against Ipswich last minute of the season free kick in 1991 to smuggle us into the play-offs. Only Buckley's second against Doncaster, Leon Knight's penalty against Bristol City and Virgo's equaliser against Ipswich to keep us in the championship compare.
