Too many to chose a number 1 but I think the Godfather would be in there somewhere. Goodfellas, Shawshank, Star Wars, Full Metal Jacket...there are so many I think it depends on your mood. On certain occasions I would swear blind that Airplane is the greatest film ever...

I didnt want to say it because it was too obvious but if Im being honest the following would be on there:

-Quadrophenia
-Get Carter
-The Italian Job

Perhaps not greatest but certainly up there with my favourites.

Hard to give a top 2. I've probably got a top 10 of films I adore, but I'd struggle to put them in any particular order.

Return of the King (truley spectacular. love it, love it, LOVE IT)
Terminator 2 (a sci-fi masterpiece)
Braveheart (forget the facts, just strap yourself in and enjoy)
The Matrix (truley original and groundbreaking)
A Few Good Men (utterly compelling and rivetting)
Saving Private Ryan (brutally realistic and beautifully acted)
Black Hawk Down (gritty, unglamorous, gripping)
Pulp Fiction (probably the best script ever)
Alien (a film that just doesn't age, the daddy of all sci-fi horror)
Gladiator (a marvellous spectacle, with some splendid performances)

Ask me again tomorrow and some of those may have changed, but those are all top of the tree IMHO.

Off top of my head...

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Godfather II
Full Metal Jacket (particularly the first half)
Withnail and I
LOTR: The Two Towers (better than Return of the King I reckon)
The Killing Fields
The Italian Job

Love 'em all.
