Amazing how quickly things change....on Saturday they all played like muppets and it was doom, glooom and more gloom. Now they're all heroes!

Bertin lost possession for the goal at Brentford and didn't really look like he'd got to grips with the pace of the game, but he was absolutely superb last night. He'd already shown he can pass the ball on his debut. He looks for openings with his head up and the ball at his feet, but he also moves the ball quickly, which our midfield often has a problem with doing. Long term deal for him essential, I'd say.

I thought he looked class yesterday as Adam El Abd was not getting in his way.....he was one minute in defence, mopping up and the next minute supporting the attack. Something we have been looking for for a few years. What impresses me is his ability to make the simple pass and bring people into the game. His interplay with hammond and ward ( who showed some touches of class)was a joy....but this all must be tempered by the fact that Orient were totally shite.


However you can only beat what is put in front of you and we did very well.


butters had one of his best games and i thought Rents did ever so well against a very tricky winger.

Last night's midfield was mid-table Championship quality. Keep this side together and we will do well next year. Bertin is clearly a class act.

Bertin does a very similar role to Oatway, and it has been a long time since we've had a player who looked like he might be able to fill his boots.

No I thought he was impressive at brentford too, despite his error.

Best thing about both Bertin and Hammond is the time they have on the ball.

Neither seemed ruffled and they can find the easy pass which keeps possession and spreading play too.

Thought our midfield of Hammond, Cox, Ward and Bertin was the best for a long time. No playing Fraser on the wing, which isnt his position, or El Abd, who is good breaking down play, but not using the ball that well.

Few more performances like that, and we should be well clear pretty soon.
