Think I agree with the pop star physicist Brian Cox…

“The problem with today’s world is that everyone believes they have the right to express their opinion AND have others listen to it.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!”

This applies to Bernie E (who I’ve sat across the non-negotiating table from) and every ITK about Cucurella.

If Putin is "a first class person"

What is a second class person?

Is that not a bit of a leap?

F1 sells its soul to despots around the globe, Bernie inn a TV interview is hardly gonna go for the jugular and bite the hand that feeds him.

Think of him as the Liz Truss of sports governance.

Fairly sure he has nothing to do with F1 now - it's probably just the only title GMTV could use as their lawyers wouldn't allow them to use "F**kwit"

"So Bernie, what is it about the millionaire despot with no regard to human rights that you find so appealing?"

I found it ironic that someone doing chat shows and doing numerous interviews for vanity has the audacity to suggest someone else's fashion choices are just for attention seeking....

F1 sold its soul many years ago hence them racing in those Human Rights Havens Russia & the Middle East, although I'll bet the Russians have been a bit pissed off that a black man has been dominating the sport recently...

I’m no great fan of Brian Cox, but that is absolutely right!

Was he there primarily, though, to talk about the Piquet/Hamilton racist thing. I would guess he knew they were going to cover the Putin stuff as well.
Unbelievable.

I will absolutely defend his right to free speech and he has every right to his own opinion. I also have every right to my opinion that he is a disgusting individual. It's better to know who these scumbags are. Disappointing how easy they were on him.

Absolutely and fair play to the news channel giving him the air time to get his view across and letting the rest of us know what a ****ing crank he is.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Before I clicked on the link, I knew what this would be about – old Bernie trotting out the same old bizarre nonsense that he's done many times in the past.

It would be more 'WTF' if he criticised Putin or Piquet, to be honest...

Looks like that other fvckwit, David Icke.

To Tom Hark

David Icke,
Is very odd,
He claims to be,
The son of God,
But we all know,
That it's not him,
He plays for Brighton,
It's John Crumplin.

Don't know who made this one up back in the day, but it was a good one.

David Icke
His mind's not right.
But Leon Knight,
Now he's alright :bigwave:

Not entirely sure why, but the mere mention of a Bernie Inn makes me chuckle.

It was a welcome return, from my back catalogue.
Sadly unused since Bernardo left.

Someone will be along shortly to defend his right to free speech

He has a right to free speech, but, why was he allowed to pass judgement on something that is clearly out of his remit ? The Piquet comments and Eccleston's response smacks of the old racist Uncle who have not noticed that the world has moved on.

He's always been a far right nut job

I read his autobiography some years ago. All he's ever done is want to make money, nothing else and doesn't give a flying farqhuar about anything or anyone else. Add to that a prehistoric attitude, this is hardly an unexpected outburst.
