That's because the film sank without a trace.
Black stuff was fantastic and necessary social drama for the time. And Hill's portrayal of Yosser is still memorable even after so many years . RIP

Such a great actor who could adapt to different roles. Nobody could ever accuse him of being typecast. One of his funniest parts was in the Alan Bleasdale dark comedy from the mid 1980s 'No Surrender', where he plays the part of a half-witted bouncer in a seedy Liverpool nightclub. Such an underrated funny film from the time with a tangled plot, also starring Michael Angelis, Joanne Whalley plus a cameo from Elvis Costello. R.I.P.
