Chris Eagles/Max Power ?

Anything from our Gatwick taxi driver? Looking forward to the headline "Eagles seen flying South"
Alternatively an evening photo shoot...... "lights on Max Power at the Amex"

Seriously. If we were to sign Eagles I think it would be at the cost of trying to bring Elliott Bennett back and I'm not convinced that deal is dead yet. Not sure which I would prefer. Eagles permanent or Bennett loan?

Power I am convinced will be a done deal with Fenelon in part-ex but not sure when and wouldn't rule out a loan back for the rest of the season

Taking a look at the Celtic forum he is injury prone and was good until he got linked to Premiership teams then had a poor attitude thereafter. Sounds like the same old story, hopefully Hughton can keep his head down but we've wasted money on players like this before...

...is the most negative way you could possibly look at it.

Bizarre, because what I watched last night was Ince running past him forwards, sideways and backwards whilst actually endeavouring also to head, pass forwards, challenge and generally be constructive as opposed to mooching about half arsed, getting caught in possession. And my word does he like to pass backwards.
That said, he obviously has some ability (I thought we signed a gem at first), he’s just not rolling the sleeves up and contributing enough in my opinion.

I disagree. Think Holla has been really good recently.

The bizarre bit was the way you slagged him off by suggesting your nan could replace him. Don't understand the need to slag off our players in that way, especially when we've just had a great result last night and everything is positive. Hence the bizarre comment.

From my NSC report...

Pleasingly, the Albion were barely knocked out of their stride by the set-back, continuing to push forward - the game plan built on a solid pairing of Ince and Holla in central midfield. Ince was a colossus - winning, protecting and distributing the ball in equal, comfortable measure. He has it all Rohan Ince: a potentially devastating combination of ability and physicality. He is learning to be a threat, too, his header from Holla's corner cleared off the line - Hughes' follow up header landing on the roof of the net.

Danny Holla's performance was a mixed affair. Capable of superb passing, but also of horrific lapses of concentration. The cliché says that really good players always seem to have a little more time than everyone else. Danny seems to think that this applies to him. Judging by the number of times he gets caught in possession, he needs to re-think. He delivers a terrific dead ball though - another corner - Hughes finding space to see his free header tipped over by beardy.

The result is irrelevant, I personally strive for better, win, lose or draw. I enjoyed the game as much as anyone. The Nan comment was a throw away obviously poor attempt at humour. For me his contribution 'currently' can be hugely improved. He got caught in possession, is slow and certainly last night made minimal number of challenges and stands to far off a player allowing a cross or pass in to our box. Perhaps I find him frustrating because I think he is capable of more. Not sure my comments were exactly slagging him off, he'll survive, plays far better football and knows far more about it than I ever will.
