I can assure you non of Brian's family would object to you sharing his picture to NSC. I'm sure a lot of people would recognise him as a supporter but would not realise he was the famous BG.

Thank-you. Just so you and everyone else knows, AmexRuislip has kindly emailed Paul Camillin, who is the club's head of media for the match-day programme, to ask for consent to to put the article on here on behalf of NSC. I'm also reliably informed that Bozza is okay with it, but we're still waiting to hear back from Paul.

Having read the matchday programme, I couldn't help but think that I couldn't see his picture very well, as I need glasses. Maybe the person who took the pic and owns the copy-write could use their Omsung Phine and upload it to here? ???

AmexRuislip 's absolutely sterling work emailing the club has paid off, because he's received confirmation from the very highest echelons of the club. Paul Barber himself has given the go ahead that they are happy for the tribute in the programme to be posted on here. I've had the email forwarded on to me and Paul does state in it that normally, as I originally thought, the club wouldn't allow the content of the programme to be reproduced, but given the reason it's no problem at all. He also says that he too enjoyed his many email exchanges with Brian and offers his sincere condolences to Brian's family and friends.

In true BG fashion, I cannot get my scanner to work as I haven't used it in ages and have therefore had to resort to my Omsung Phine instead. Anyway, here it it is for those who haven't seen it, I hope you can read it okay.

Not what expected him to look like.

I expected. Tall slim and silver grey hair. However still great to put a face to all of his great posts

Found this Argus article from January 2001 where a young BG turned out not to be the one talking out of his bobble hat...

I searched to try and find a clearer pic of him, as the canned programme was a bit vague and face looked familiar from withdean, in doing so, I happened upon his FB .

https://www.facebook.com/brian.lisher.5

even now he's passed, he still just made me laugh with his intro and the school he went to!

typical BG...... total enigma and one off

Based on what his FB said I must have unknowingly passed him in the street or shops on many occasions.

Do we know of where donations in his memory should be directed?

I like to think that BG would have been pleased with the news from Somerset that the members' pavilion is going to be renamed The Marcus Trescothick Stand.
