Well, neither was being particularly effective but I guess Gus had an eye on Plymouth on Tuesday as well.

As others said, Carlisle had Lua-Lua sussed, can't recall him really touching the ball. Bennett plain and simply had a poor game.

I have always stayed away from the sniping of TCB & yourself because this is a platform for opinions & the more varied the more discussion etc but I actually doubt that you will ever enjoy if we do rise through the leagues & become a bigger club because that, would involve us doing well & you might have to enjoy the ride. What will you do? It's a serious question because nothing this club does makes you happy.

To me it looked as if Gus initially went for tactics of stifling Carlisle, for which wide players in a 4-5-1 helps.
We were more dominant in the second half and he ramped that up further by bringing Baz and Barnes into a more fluid attacking 4-3-3, so Muzza wasn't solitary in heading down high balls with no support by his side, while also ensuring they worked defensively in a 4-5-1 when needed. Baz's run and shot that just whizzed past the post would have been goal of the season if he found the net. Superb effort.

It sounds like we need to work on a plan, that when Lua Lua and Bennett are marked out of the game we can capitalise on getting through the middle which Crofts did to some advantage last season.
