Your error here was listening to TalkSport. Angries up the blood, don't do it!Some tw*t on Talksport this morning advocating retrospective punishments for simulation - absolutely agree with that, BTW - but when asked if that would apply to Ben White if it was introduced, his answer was, "No, because you couldn't tell if that was simulation or not!"
Ah, is that all it is?Luckily he'd already had his blood group tattooed on his arm incase something like this happened.
They said they would clamp down on simulation a few seasons ago then, once VAR was introduced and it was easy to do so, they conveniently forgot about it. Quite amazing that Maddison managed to get sent off within 15 minutes at the AMEX for 2 dives.Odd that officials don't seem to give yellows for simulation anymore, I don't recall seeing any this season.

I've just spent an enjoyable 5 minutes calling them out on Fascist Twitter. One even claimed that ,although Tango went down easily, Estupinian did catch him in the throatA worrying number of Arsenal fans underneath that video backing White and claiming it’s violent conduct by Estupinian

I suspect VAR did review as a potential violent conduct offence (and presumably immediately told Mr Magoo that the orange one was being a dickhead), but as there is no red card offence on his part they can't get involved in any punishment for White. Agree it's a bit daft - should be able to simply tell Magoo that White should get a yellow for simulation. What I don’t understand with play acting like that is if White managed to fool the ref and get Estupinan sent off then wouldn’t VAR just correct it? Or is the hope that the ref gives a yellow which VAR can’t intervene on?
I do think cheating is an area VAR could be a lot more effective. Every dive regardless of where on the pitch it occurs could be picked up by VAR and a yellow card issued.
Don't have a problem with it. Sometimes a bit tedious, but I have a need for background noise which isn't catered for by screeching vocals and drum machines on Radio1, 2 or Heart FM......and I can only take Radio3 and Classic FM in very short doses; Radio4 is now basically Mumsnet.Your error here was listening to TalkSport. Surely these are just taking the piss and wind-up merchants?A worrying number of Arsenal fans underneath that video backing White and claiming it’s violent conduct by Estupinian

There should absolutely be a post-game review panel that looks at shit like this and awards reds for simulation.
Surely these are just taking the piss and wind-up merchants?
Billy Sharp must be spinning in his grave. So Ben White joins Billy Sharp and Bernd Leno in having their careers ended at the Amex by brutal thuggery from Brighton players. I think we should dedicate a bit of the memorial garden in honour of their careers.
No different to Albion fans who still think that Lamptey pretty much missing the ball but hooking Jesus’ foot isn’t a penaltyA worrying number of Arsenal fans underneath that video backing White and claiming it’s violent conduct by Estupinian
