If it had to come to a choice sell Dunk or sell White who would people choose. Dunk is older but has held the place together and I am not sure there is any really evidence he wants to go and has proved time and time again his value. I would keep Dunk...

Surely everyone would pick Dunk ?

White has youth on his side against Lewis but never played at a higher level than the Champ.

I’m sure Ben will become a very good player, but still has question marks over him

Hahaha! Brilliant!

You have to love the arrogance though. I guess this guy knows absolutely nothing about Tony Bloom. If the price is right he will go but it is gonna make a very big dent in Leeds budget if it happens. Who knows maybe Leeds are going to splash the cash like Fulham or Villa did. Are they going to throw 150k plus at the squad in your opinion Starry

Player power will show on this one, he will want to continue what he has started at a place he is adored, plus Brighton or Leeds, not exactly a hard choice!

I'd say Dunk. White is still a bit of an unknown with prem football, even though I believe he'll be fantastic.

Maybe my mind would change in a years time and Webster kept putting in those Sputhampton-like performances perhaps.

But Dunk is the glue right now.

He has been a big part of Leeds best season in years, they have been the standout team in , let’s face it, a pretty poor Championship this year. That will all have an affect on his outlook over his future,no doubt, but, he went to them at the beginning of the season, replacing Jansen, most dirties fans didn’t have a clue who he was, or how good he was. A far few of them were pissed off that they were replacing a club stalwart with a kid, who had never played in the Championship.

He has been excellent for them this season, the way they play suits him, he’s playing with some of the best players in the division, and for a manager who knows his stuff, but, when we allowed the loan, we didn’t give them a right to buy, and , I imagine, as his parent club, we have been in constant contact with him and his representatives. Does anyone think Potter would have stated we have big plans for him at our club , if there was any intention to sell? Ben must have had discussions with the club about the way forward and, probably realised from the beginning of this season, if he was a success at Elland Road he’s got a big future, I maybe wrong, but, I don’t think that future includes Dirty Leeds in any way, shape or form.

Im now of the opinion that if it came to it Leeds would find a way to pay. Even if its around £25M with add ons of £10M/20M for a completed first PL season and England appearances. Leeds will want to keep the foundation of their defence. White has had an incredible season with a club who have a huge following and have the history to go with it. I don't see White choosing us over them assuming Leeds offer the money being asked. Of course Liverpool/Man City etc. may well come in which is fine for us but complicates the decision for White.

Problem is white is under contract he’s already chosen us over them and there is another contract there in the pipeline I’m sure. His next step is to play on a regular basis in the PL which he is yet to do. He won’t get that at Liverpool and unlikely at city as well. He would get it at Leeds, but at the moment they need a whole new squad. They have very little options up front, some of their best players are loanees or aging and need to prob bring in 10 players Plus. We hold all the cards and we haven’t sold a player we haven’t wanted to sell in years.

He made his decision last summer when he committed to another 3 years. That contract was apparently worth 10K a week - which wasn’t a bad deal for someone that hadn’t played above the 3rd tier - so he has the choice to either quadruple his wages now and accept a new extended deal, or not sign and stay on 10K a week for at least another season.

he isn't our player of the season, that honour goes to a 35 year old spaniard. which should tell you how shit the championship is this year. if someone offers you £40M+ for an unproven 22 year old on the back of a fairly ok championship season bite their hands off. i am not familiar with your current defensive set up but you all speak quite highly of what you have and while white has done ok this season he is not the second coming of maldini, he has played against the likes of wells, watkins etc at luton on tuesday nights and not vardy or aguero or at anfield, they will run rings around him, he has done ok but the hype is way over placed. cheers and good luck to him, he's not the kind of player a bottom 8 team need to be staying up. so i hope we wish him well and move on. if he's sub £20m maybe he is worth a punt but otherwise thanks for the memories.

Ulloa was the last, I think. But that was when we were in he Championship and Leicester were presumably offering to at least treble his wages. Leeds can’t offer a higher level of football and, despite their history, have no financial advantage over us. In fact we probably have the financial edge due to Leeds having to shell out circa £30m before they’ve even paid a penny in his wages.

Seriously, Leeds arrogance in that they and their fans think that, due to their history, they can just put up the money and we will say yes and Ben will say yes and the deal will be done really p1sses me off. He is our player, and if we want him to stay (which we do) then he stays.

Having seen his contributions to NSC for a number of years, I’d actually give a lot of respect to Starry ‘s opinion on a Leeds player and take it far more seriously than the average social-media warrior.

He’s wrong in the case, of course.

Would it be good business to sell one of our most exciting prospects to a potential relegation rival next season?

Unless they offer silly money, I can't see Tony Bloom letting him go to Leeds.

I agree entirely. The way some of their fans are bleating is similar to a teenage boy who is about to be dumped.
Oh, but he loves us and doesn't want to go back to your 'retirement home'.

It's all the same old tosh about them being a bigger club blah blah blah, they are not, they are not yet a Premier League club, they will be if invited to join. Forget history they are currently the newbies trying to poach an established team's youngster. They have been firmly put in their place with the clubs tweet this morning. It is a kind way of saying **** off

Premier League fan more than Brighton fan?

When we have developed quality players, should we immediately look to sell them on to so called bigger clubs? If we can take the likes of Man Utd and The Best Team the World has Ever Seen from Merseyside to the cleaners financially then great. Why roll over to basket case clubs like a Leeds cos they have a bit of history?

If Leeds come up with the cash White will go its as simple as that. If any other PL club offers the right money and White wants to go then he will go. For the right money of course we sell. As long as Dunk stays of course

Its all down to money though. If Leeds offer what we want and White wants to go to them then it will happen. Contracts are broken quite happily when money is involved. Leeds are def in danger of doing a Fulham but Im yet to see any body language from White that says his heart is with Brighton.

The Albion don't sell players until they reach the top of their expected valuation.

Which is why Dunk hasn't gone, Duffy will go and White will be here for a further 12 months.
