Put this in the mixer. Ben White cannot be on tremendous wages....yet. So how much does NSC reckon he could spend on a house......500k. That amount may get you a nice semi with a drive in Sussex. He could probably buy Yorkshire for the same amount. *

As a cash buyer, £500k seems affordable for him, after all that's only £10k/week (not taking into account tax/ni obviously) .
But as a deposit, a single year's salary probably gets him half a dozen very nice properties (or a huge portfolio of 1-bed rental flats) on what are probably just a 5 or 10 year mortgages.
So even if the Worthing pad is worth a few million, it's not a big deal if you don't actually have to save a deposit and will be paying off the mortgage in a couple of years.

I'll add to the mix re property prices in the North. Go and try and find a property for less than a million in Alderley Edge/ Prestbury in Cheshire or Formby near Liverpool.
Anyway, good to see Ben is putting down some roots in Sussex. I'm assuming his girlfriend is from Sussex too.

His girlfriend and her dad are both from Hull. (My current other half is mutual friends with CM on Facebook) The dad does have a Leeds badge in his profile picture, fair few people living in Hull follow Leeds or usually Liverpool.
