Teddy Maybank, dreadful expensive forward whose footballing brain was 100 times better than his ability.

Anyone remember him dragging his foot behind him and trying to use his heal to flick the ball forward over his body. Don't think he ever managed it though.

I was always a fan of Andy Kennedy. He was quite clearly not particularly interested in football, but his page 3 girlfriends and general pansy flair made him the Goldstone romeo once Diggers had left. Boxing Day about 1993 when Crumplin scores a sweet 20 yard left-footer is one of my favourite albion moments. As he celebrates this feat, Kennedy can be seen dancing next to him like he's at a Nolans concert.

remember it well as his 'dance' was right i front of me. 1992 V Burnley. 3-0 win

Clown:dunce:

Mine would be Bryan Wade, he was pony but still managed to put four past Newcastle, what a tit!!

Has to be Chris Ramsey for me.

Did he ever tme a tackle properly? Not that I remember. And he had this wierd style of running but he was as hard as nails.

Top notch in my book

He only played about 20 games for us too

Yeah bowl haired geek. His hair was in his eyes, looked like one of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show.

He managed it once, against me in a shit sunday league match at the dog stadium, in his later years. I always thought he was crap at the albion, but he showed how much better he was than the sunday league players.

As Storer says he was quality and I believe we could have signed him permanently for 100K but chose not to :(

Clive Walker was quality. I remember the first game he played for us he ran most of the length of the pitch, beating three or four players, and then being too knackered to put the cross in!!!

:lolol:

Also, Mark Gall for being outrageously skilfull and generally taking the piss out of any defender put in front of him. I remember watching from the West Stand and he was confronted by two defenders stood shoulder to shoulder in front of him. So he went through the middle of 'em!!!

And Sergei, saw the Hull goal on TV, grainy picture in those days, and how many players put their hands up in the air BEFORE scoring the goal!! Magic!!

Eric Potts was a bit of a dark horse player, and turned a few games around. Looked a bit ineffectual, but for a little while there he was great.

Tiger Tony Towner the local legend. Perhaps it was because he was home-grown that he was comparitively underestimated, but he was a short lad who regularly skinned defenders and could put in a good cross . One of the faves from my South Stand terrace days - but I felt personally affronted when I visited the East Terrace to stand with the moaners and hear them loudly berating TTT - no player was safe !

Has any player made controlling a ball look more difficult than Hans Kraay? but his ability to wind up the opposition was second to none, his jumping up and down right in front of keepers at corners was priceless.

I remember Peter O'Sullivan getting a lot of stick when he first arrived and played on the left wing but became an Albion legend.
