Considering you started this thread, I'm surprised you didn't know they had a reputation for hitting 'scarfers'.

Mate, in all honesty if someone got out of line with a scarfer, then there own lot would not be impressed, it does not happen, its a myth.

The casuals had this stupid thing for oppositions scarves. They used to grab them off fans necks and claim them as trophies. A lot of innocent fans were targeted. Just a bunch of bullies if you ask me.

I've never worn scarves or football hooligan uniform. But I know someone who was jumped on for their scarf in the 70's.

No more than say pissed up people, men, young people in general, mods, skinheads, Teddy boys or any other group of young men at the football since the 60's.

Football violence has been happening ever since football was invented. You seriously do not have a clue mate
