Apologies if this fixtures. Just seen in sky news that beer has now been banned from all stadiums at the World Cup except for hospitality.

very interesting to see how this will play with Budweiser, FIFA's big sponsor. surely a violation of contract?
Not really, still able to sell bud zero and alcohol at fan zones and hotels. Also, it's not FIFA banning alcohol, its the state

What a World Cup this is going to be….. Will there still be scantily clad young women in the crowds for the TV cameras to hone it on……..or will it be the letterbox look only ?

They will also be able to sell it in corporate hospitality areas of the stadiums too. One rule for the knobs, another for the plebs...

There will have been guarantees for selling in the stadiums. FIFA will have to pay a lot of compensation in my opinion.

Be surprised if women are allowed to watch live sport over there.

Alcohol was never going to be sold in the stadium, out of respect to the locals.

It is just at concessions outside of the stadium where it was going to be sold, and is no longer.
