MLS Underground has learned that the Los Angeles Galaxy and Major League Soccer have offered a contract to Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.
A Soccer United Marketing official with strong ties to MLS has confirmed that the AEG owned club had offered the midfielder a four year contract at $9 million per season. The offer may have since been raised as the former English captain is now also in talks with Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have stated that they want to make a decision by next week. The English star, if he accepts the MLS contract, will likely join the Galaxy in June as that is when his contract expires in Spain.
*Update - Reports out of Spain are that Beckham is one of a number of players on a so-called "blacklist" that Madrid coach Fabio Capello wants off of the squad before the end of the January transfer window.
If Beckham decides join Los Angeles, look for athletic apparel company Adidas to become the Galaxy's jersey sponsor.
In addition to Beckham, MLSU has also confirmed that the Galaxy are pursuing the signature of Brazillian forward Ronaldo. The Galaxy join the New York Red Bulls as the second team MLS team attempting to court the Real Madrid striker to the United States.

Think Ronaldo may end up in england with Beckham going to Italy for a couple of years before going to america to end his career
