Anyone happen to notice that the German flag was shown on several occasions. Wonder where the construction workers will come from. Designs seem to be on the same wavelength as Munich's stadium.... The plot thickens !!

The architect for several of the stadiums is Albert Speer Jnr, the son (as Lord B pointed out yesterday) of prominent Nazi, Albert Speer Sr. However, at least one of the stadiums is being designed by British architect firm, Fosters. And the engineering company behind the project is British company Arup.
As for the workers, a lot of the people who do the work in the Middle East are from India and Pakistan - that's certainly the case in Dubai.

While Beckenbauer is happy with it going to Qatar, the mood in Bild yesterday certainly wasn't happy. I think it's fair to say that most Germans are about as delighted with the decision as most Brits are.
