BBC4 are having Kenny Everett night, tonight.

Used to love Kenny Everett when I was young, used to listen to him on Capital in the morning. Also remember avidly watching his shows on New Years Eve whilst staying at my Gran's and stuffing my face with all sorts of buffet food.

More miss than hit as a TV comedian. The guy playing him was very good in that show tonight.

Not seen it yet (will download it when I get in) but my mate wrote the drama. He also wrote the Eric Morecambe stage play that did the rounds in recent years, and has a Peter Sellers one on the way. He seems to specialise in small cast biopics of tragic comics, bless him.

The programme gave the impression they were in love and his sexuality wasn't a major issue with their relationship at the beginning.
