Another good show. Seems to me as though the skipper very likely saved that young lads life when he managed to deflect him into the boat when he fell from the quay. Had he landed on the rails of the boat then it could well have been curtains, or paralysed at the least. Worth a smashed hand and a couple of weeks lost fishing. Well done that man.

Glad they both seemed to have come out of it Ok in the end and continued working together........

I've seen no news on a season 3, which would be a massive shame, as they were selling the benefits of Brexit for so long. It would have been nice to see their response to the reality.

There was more than a hint of turkeys voting for Christmas.
If I remember rightly.

The poorest region in England.
The least funded region in England.
Received over £1bn in EU funding.
Voted for Brexit.

I can only assume, over the years, the EU did the worst job possible in promoting themselves and their love of funding 'the poorest ...'

While we all know the job the Leave team did.

I'm guessing the EU didn't realise their funding for the poorest regions in Europe required some sort of PR campaign to accompany it, just in case the people being funded decided to ditch it.

If they’re struggling for cash (the Beeb that is; we know fishing has now all but collapsed) I’d happily help crowd fund series 3 :lolol:

Having had many fishing holidays on Cornwall I can say that the EU often had signs up regarding what they were funding. Two small examples were a fish hoist installed at Mousehole harbour and a road intersection just outside of Penzance. Most of the funding most people never noticed.
And sadly, many people did not want to notice as they had already fallen under the spell of the tricksters.

You are right, all the infrastructure projects had huge signs including the upgrade to the plymouth to penzance line so that more and faster trains could use it, I thought that network rail could fund all of that seems not.
I have no sympathy for the cornish now struggling and moaning, fabulous county full of idiots.

One of the many good elements of the EU was their apolitical and agenda free financial support for infrastructure projects which were often in geographical areas neglected by the UK government. Finance was provided, and provided on merit, to many places like the west country and Wales. They should stop whining and own their decision and the consequences which come with it. Same as the pig farmers.

Cornwall relied so much on foreign labour, on the fishing boats as local youngsters just don't want to know, but to be fair a lot come from places like The Philippines.
Pulling up and picking all the fruit and veg, flowers like daffodils, abbatoirs and butchers and then of course all the seasonal holiday stuff and coffee shops, cafes and restaurants.
Cornwall is, almost entirely sea, fields, and tourists with a small population.
The A30 would still be a country lane if it were not for EU money.
But, over many decades the UK government has almost ignored Cornwall and the SW with no sign of levelling up down here as that is all up north.
And yet, despite being warned time and time again they voted to leave.
