I think the winner should be Jenson Button or Bradley Wiggins.

I also think if Brawn GP do not win the team award, something is wrong with the judging pannel.

Any other suggestions.

I would love to see a Brawn GP clean sweep.

People only watch Grand Prix racing for the crashes, and they give the public what the public wants!

I would like to see Ryan Giggs for sports personality of the year and Brawn GP for the team of the year.

According to Befair, it's between Button (8/11) and Ennis (7/2).

Other prices include:-

Strauss 15/1, David Haye 24/1, Giggsy 25/1, Flintoff & Tweddle 60/1

Strauss is a good shout actually, and possibly England Cricket team as the team?

...there is a big difference between a racing accident and someone doing it on purpose!

As talented as Button has proved himself to be this year, the elephant in the room with him is his decsion to leave the UK for tax reasons 9 years ago.

Button is currently the richest British sportsman under 30, his decision to leave the UK for financial reasons should exclude him from this year's event (as it should have done for Hamilton last year).

I am no class warrior by the way, Button and Hamilton actions merely prove what the super rich will do when a tax regime becomes too aggressive (not to mention if the currency is in freefall).

Given today's economic reality I would think that multi milionaires like Button and Giggs would have less traction with the public in comparison to the more humble Ennis, Tweddle or Tony McCoy (the individual I would personally like to see win it).

Ah yes, after the absolute farce of giving them gongs for winning the Ashes in 2005 (?!) let's now give them yet another undeserved accolade, in fact, let's give them Nobel Prizes while we're at it.
