Because more armchair chelsea fans will watch this than wolves, as most of them would have been at the game.

All to do with viewing figures.

But i can't see why they couldn't show it on sky as it wouldn't have clashed with any of the other televised games due to the midday k/off

I was under the impression that it was abit like the champions league deal. Itv get tuesdays and sky get wednesdays. Where as bbc get pick of the saturday games and a sunday one and sky could have the others.

I'm pretty sure they showed a 3rd round tie aswell, might have been cardiff v spurs

I agree, if you are going to show a prem side at least show them playing another prem side or where there is a lager than none chance of an upset.

Alas the BBC have the misguided idea that the Cup still has endless shocks, which it doesnt.
