Take your scone apologist climate denial pseudo science elsewhere.
The real coefficient of friction science is clear…….Jam First

View attachment 95066

You're not going to win this one. The clotted cream is the equivalent of butter to stop the jam soaking into the scone. Next you'll be telling me you use butter as a filling for sandwiches after spreading cheese and pickle on both sides of the bread.

Not that my wife's from Devon or anything.

Seeded? Unseeded?......why discriminate.
Bit off for you to play the racist card so early.

Next you will be saying all jams look the same to you.

You're just one step away from "Actually one of my best friends is jam"

You creamist.

As well as being a musical genius, Prince knew all about the correct way to prepare scones.

"Cream...get on top."

Rubbish. Devon and Cornwall both use clotted cream, never anything else. It’s only outside of the West Country you’ll find Philistines trying to use anything else.

Up to you. Good luck trying to spread jam on top of Cornish clotted cream!

Jam first for wife and I.
By the way, Lanhydrock House is probably the best NT property I have been to and well worth a visit if you are down that way.

**** jam and **** scones!
They're as dry and tasteless as the old bints that eat them.
Victoria sponge forever!

As said, it depends which side of the Tamar, you are.

Team Devon cream first, then jam. Team Cornwall is jam first and cream on top.

I'm team Cornwall.

Anyone know the Kernow for 'snowflake'?

P.S. I can see no advantage whatsoever in putting the cream on first, and wouldn't dream of doing so, but I couldn't give a flying f*** if that's the way you want to do it............

erghen = snowflake

I don't give a flying monkeys which way round it goes, they are lovely either way, however, put the milk in my tea first and there will be consequences.....

Unreliable, non-independent bullshit. Clue is in the last line.

She was asked to carry out the study by Rodda's Cornish Clotted Cream

Yes, but Devon cream is runnier, so doesn't stay put, which is why they insist on cream first. Cornish clotted cream is really thick.
