Mrs V saw this advertised and decided we would watch it...well we are half way through episode three and it's really gruesome, mental, and terrifying...it is well acted though...I'm can't look at some scenes but Mrs V thinks it's amazing...

Started re-watching Doctor Who (from the reboot, 2005) and Torchwood (2006). Some of the themes are surprisingly adult and some of the ā€œbanterā€ is gloriously non-PC. When an alien arrives that lives by draining orgasmic energy from humans, Gwen puts out an A.P.B. For a "woman possessed by gas, knobbing fellas to death.".

It is weird, but as you get into it, the better it gets.
Cannot please all, but that's the way TV is :)

Starstruck Season 3 just released on BBC iPlayer. And it is (very very) nearly as good as the first two seasons. Binged the whole thing in two sessions. Rose Matafeo (who writes it and produces this series) is as good as Phobe Waller-Bridge IMHO. Treat yourself.

Laura Kuenssberg: State of Chaos is a fascinating watch. S1E1 recalls those innocent pre-Covid days when all we had to worry about was Parliament trying - and succeeding - at every turn to thwart enacting the results of the 2016 Brexit referendum despite the best efforts of Theresa May, her flimsy majority and half of her deeply divided cabinet. Episide 2 with Dominic Cummings and his sock-puppet BJ centre stage should be an absolute humdinger

Not on iPlayer, but ITV's version - Love & Death, starring Elizabeth Olsen. Really excellent drama!

For a Few Dollars More available to watch now. Top quality Spaghetti Western. One of the best. If you haven't seen it yet you really should.
This - was delighted to see this film on there, Clint Eastwood is mesmerizingly good despite it being overdubbed.

You only need to watch the first performance on Piano Greats at the BBC on iPlayer, and you'll see one of the very greatest. With Tom Jones

We finished watching 'Time' last night.

Jimmy McGovern TV is just wonderful...Sean Bean and Stephen Graham are both superb.

I am never, ever going to prison.
Jimmy McGovernā€™s hard-hitting prison drama, Time, is coming back in a matter of weeks.

Season two of the celebrated drama stars Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance and Bella Ramsey.

Told through the lens of three very different inmates, series two of Time tells of life inside a womenā€™s prison. Arriving at Carlingford Prison on the same day, Kelsey (Ramsey), Orla (Whittaker) and Abi (Lawrance) are thrown together to face an unfamiliar world. But even with the ever-present threat of violence within its walls, they discover that an unexpected sense of community, and a shared understanding, still might be possible.

Time (Series 2): Sunday 29th October, 9pm, BBC One

Sorry if fixtures but just binged 'No Activity'

Aussie comedy by the same lot who did 'Colin From Accounts' about 2 detectives on a stakeout where nothing happens...

Really really lol funny non-PC brilliance ( especially if you ever wondered how Siamese twins ever managed to have a wank !)

Ive just realised there are two iplayer threads running. The other is "What's Good to Watch on BBC I player". If a mod wanders along is there any chance they can be merged?
