SSN suggesting just a twisted ankle [fingers crossed]. Hopefully a couple of weeks rest, before the WC will do him good. Better still if Utd are knocked out when he misses the 2nd leg - another few less games for him to play.

Woo Hoo - Thats screwed up their title bid!!!

Doubt it, they are a class act, hope Rooney can get sorted in time for SA, sadly England are not a class act and need him desperately

Twisted ankle?

PERFECT

So he'll not be able to keep smashing them in for United's title run but we can still hope to see him at the World Cup.

LOVELY

Might not be quite as bad then. If that could just rule him out for 6 weeks, that'd be absolutely perfect, he'll be well rested and RARING to go.

maybe give him the last 2 games or so for a bit of match fitness, and maybe a goal or two, and we're laughing...

Yep of course... just like Arsenal have blown there title bid and Whitehawk have blown there Vase hopes, football is a funny old game as Jimmy Greaves once said but i can safely say because Wayne Rooney is injured its not going to matter a great deal to United's title bid after all they beat Bolton 4-0 without him and to me thats one of the best games they have played this season and that was without Rooney.

I'm suddenly all DELIGHTED.

Rooney gets a rest, doesn't contribute to United's title run in and in his absence the team f*** UP and let Chelsea and Arsenal gain ground.

Couldn't have written it better
