18.6 6 Hickey to Ansell
Hickey has dropped that one halfway down the pitch. Remember kids, you can imitate your bowling idol in your head, but that does not make you a good spinner. Six runs, and a lesson to be learned.

:clap2: a glimmer of hope as I break the fifty barrier

Tooting Bec
End of Over 24: 97-2, runrate=4.04
Dickinson 2-1-7-0
Heckingbottom* 27 (37 balls)
Burdett 31 (58 balls)

Doing OK batting 1st, but run-rate slowing up ???

I was confident on 280 odd last week and was beat with about 5 overs to spare, seems impossible to stand a chance when you are a new player and to be honset I will probably give up in a few weeks

we took a wicket with the first ball, nice start. Not that addictive is it...... I had things to do today instead of check my PC every 2 mns

Well that's that then lost by 6 wickets and just 32 overs to go, thats four thrashing in a row now, pointless game if you cant compete

I successfully restricted my opponents to 234 all out, thanks mainly to my super spinner who claimed 8-23 off 8.2 overs. He then also scored a quickfire 49 off 42 balls before being given out to a dodgy LBW decision as we chased it successfully to win by 4 overs with 6.5 overs remaining. Although this was against a shit side, I'm a bit scared about what will happen when I play a good side...

8 / 23 Impressive figures!!! Well done.

Ive got them 56 /6 afer 15 overs in response to my 215, id like to think its due to my 3 new signings and tactical nous, but suspect its all far more random. oh well, if i win who cares

Yeah he really did save the day somewhat considering they were 210-2! I'm the same, while of course I wish that all of his wickets were down to my superb management, I suspect it was just a bit of luck... especially considering he was bowling agressively against settled batsmen.

my game is in the balance, restricted the oppo to 213 all out thanks to my spinner taking 7 for not many, my bunch of "awful" tail enders however, are faced with taking my team to victory from 168/6 off 32 overs
(so 45 needed off 18 overs)
