What an impressive young man this guy is. Only just turned 21 and despite his error today, he didn't allow it to affect him and ultimately had a very good game.

He's an impressive young man. Obviously the goal was bitterly disappointing and he looked a bit wobbly at times in other "work" he had to do but I think he's a real talent. I think by the end of the season his performances will be such that there is no rotation and he's just the outright number 1, but for the time being he seems to have the right attitude to sharing the duties and growing into our team. He's an exciting prospect and then when you think we've got Carl Rushworth playing every game for Swansea in the Championship and James Beadle playing every game in League 1 for Oxford you appreciate how deep our goalkeeping bench is.

Quite the save, he is already a great keeper but can improve his distribution significantly. Steele superior with the ball.
Edit Saying that I know the longer stats don't necessarily back this up, more thoughts after the game on Saturday.

I did not realise until posted by the Albion that Bart pulled off a wonder save on Saturday. Thought it had beaten him and hit the bar . Without starting a war on here, Jason would not have got close to that

Jason also wouldn't have palmed a cross Webster was ready to deal with straight into the path of the Sheffield striker, giving him an open goal. Swings and roundabouts.

Fine save though

That's true. That's because Steele wouldn't have got to the ball and it would have fallen to Brereton Diaz who was at the far post.

Verbruggen did the right thing, he got unlucky our midfield/CBs weren't tracking runners.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that our centre back was in line with the ball until our goalie diverted it past him and straight to the opposition.

On first look I thought he'd saved it but didn't see a replay. Unbelievable save.
Ditto..didn’t seem to get any slo mo replays on the match coverage, but that is a cracking save. I’m sure he’ll become more consistent with a longer run in the side.

There comes a point where although a keeper does get something on it, it's so far on the edge of his fingers that he doesn't divert it at all, meaning had he not touched it, it still wouldn't have been a goal.

In this instance the ball was so close to going over the line, probably it did save a goal. Im not 100% on it though.

Two things are clear: he got a hand to it and it didn't cross the line. Ergo, I'm saying wonder save 🧤

Look at the clip from another angle. The trajectory and spin on the ball is altered upwards. It’s an astonishing save.
