Get your facts straight Vulture old boy.

Glenn Murray was signed on the strength of a warm up, Dixon was a Wilkins exclusive signing, he went, he saw, he signed, whilst McFool was allegedly signed as DK had promised 'x' amount of players in window and time was running out.

He is not pissed, he hardly drinks, thats just how his voice sounds.

Like all of us Baz is not perfect, as for Farrington that was more about the bully that was Greg Stanley sticking his oar in.

For as long as that man lives he will always be reminded of signing Mark Farrington (who i never saw play) yes he sounded bad. But he did bring Mike Small, John Byrne, Clive Walker, Dean Wilkins to the club so he can't be that bad.

Yet as far as I can remember McFool was the first player we signed in the Januray transfer window.

Whis thread is full of shit and people pretending they know things they don't. The fact is that for a club with our budget we have to take gambles in the transfer window, every manager has made duff signings but also made decent ones. Why can't people just accept that not every new player is going to be a revelation? I could make a decent list of crap players that we've signed before Barry Lloyd was on the scene.

(But he had made that ill advised sweeping statement on SCR after the Mansfield debacle that he would be signing someone within days, which turned out to be McFaul)

An interesting topic for the phone-in Spider......

Surely Mcfaul although labelled as a loan signing was nothing more than a player on an extended trial.

We looked at him and saw he wasn't up to it.

Not like we paid a fee for him was it, probably just a very low amount on wages.
