There was a last min rush for Cardiff. If the same is repeated here, we might even need some seats on the other half of this block!
And, if Wednesday don't think they will shift 3000, then it might make sense to give us a little bit of S1F too and just move the tarpaulin over the few seats. We will sure shift them for that.

Can tickets be bought at the Amex, or only at Queens Road tomorrow?

Last season Barnsley had about 800 at the Amex for a game that was moved to a Sunday so not a bad turnout.so I would be surprised if they bring less than 1000 for a Saturday game in August in Brighton.
I think you can still buy over the phone and on-line and pick tickets up at ground.

128 left , I think these will sell out as you can book online and pick up the tickets at the stadium.
I just read on twitter that Barnsley have sold 274 tickets.

Just because they and other clubs overcharge it doesn't mean we can do the same. Add travel, food and drinks to £28 plus a recession and voila - far fewer away fans - it's not rocket science.
Of course the club could try charging less, get hundreds more away fans spending much more money in the ground and earn more - just a thought like!!

What makes you think they all use public transport?i bet over half get the coach.Its to bloody expensive and i think £24 should be the highest price for a 2nd tier game for away fans.
I'd very much doubt that advance purchase tix from Barnsley would be a different price to HH than Brighton and that assumes that the typical Barnsley fan even knew and understood the whole travel deal.
It's just an expensive outing for your ave bloke. Ticket price is just one element and they can get to see plenty of other away games much closer to home, much cheaper and less agg.

So how do you explain how todays expected away attendance plus cardiff last tuesday (looked half of what they announced was there as well) is so low if what the club is offering is such good value ? By the sounds of it Barnsley are bringing nearly 600 less than they did last year for a game which was on a sunday. With more northern teams in this division than last season there will be plenty of empty seats for majority of games, empty seats do not help the club.

I would explain a reduced attendance from Barnsley on the fact they have already done this ground. According to one of their own commentators on here, for London / South coast clubs they normally travel with 300-500. I would hope to at least see them in the middle of this figure.
Cardiff actually brought more than last year and I don't agree the figures were bumped up for them - firstly why would we? Secondly, you have to remember than from where the divide was in the south stand to the divide in the East, you could accomodate about 2500, so their 700 odd is going to look a little sparse.
When we have the likes of Barnsley and Cardiff on a Tuesday, there will be empties, just as there are in the home stands from people who have already bought a ST. f I had a gripe, then I would prefer to see more Saturday 3pm games.
Agree, and it's not as it it's TV for the most part. For stuff like Uni return, Gay pride and other events that prevent a home fixture you'd imagine the FL could give us an away game without causing too much aggravation, only 4 of our first 10 homes are Saturday

If people will pay £28 for second tie football then you cant blame the club for charging it. It would be mad to charge any less. Equally, I wouldnt pay it on a regular basis but as I will only go to a few games a season anyway and so it doesnt really effect me, although I did choose horse racing over football today and price was a factor in that decision.
