They are taking the piss making it a category A game, and are cynically looking to exploit a large travelling contingent.

Completely agree. I for one am holding off buying a ticket until nearer the time depending on the next few results. It might turn into a bit of gamble how long to leave it though...

It would serve Barnsley right if our position in or out of the playoffs was all sorted before that game. They are taking the piss making it a category A game, and are cynically looking to exploit a large travelling contingent.
They are doing exactly what I would do if I had a similar product to sell.
1. Putting them on sale as early as possible so that people are tempted to buy so as not to miss out on a possible promotion party rather than risking not getting one should it turn into the promotion game
2. Pricing at the highest category given that it is a team with a chance of promotion / that have had a season to celebrate / are known for good travelling support.
If I was a Barnsley supporter I would be pissed off if they didn't do this.

But it's the last away of the season so what is there to decide? It has always been one of if not sometimes THE highlight of the season. I can't see what there is to ponder. Get your tickets and show the team your appreciation for a special season.

I'd like to think we'd take nearly that if we need a result to get into playoffs. Didn't we take 4000 to Port Vale for a meaningless game a few years back?

Really! 5000 at the absolute tops for me. Who's responsible for the 12.30pm kick of times? that person needs a serious talking to. Its the only thing still making it a decision for. Bloody 5.30am start, I be knackered all week after that.

Yes, really. A chance to get into the championship playoffs is massive considering we've been languishing in the lower leagues for years. Add our great support away from home into the mix and I think we would.

Any ideas on train travel for this one? Best price I can see so far is £67 return for an adult Portslade to Barnsley leaving about 06.30am. Not sure if it's better to Groupsave as far as we can, then get a single from another station. Just under 5 hours by train.

is it though ?

I'm personally going but a 2 legged Play off and wembley ticket costs + beer and extras = £300 . Add a 12:30 K.O and can understand if initial take up isn't dramatic.

If we need a point to finish top 6 then should take 5k, if nothing on the game I would predict 2.5k
