We invest so much in our pets and, as very much a dog person, I can feel your pain. But we get so much back in return during these far to short lifespans. I couldn't imagine our house without a dog now. Rest in Peace Barney

So sorry to hear about Barney - truly devastating. Like you, and probably, everyone else posting on this thread we are dog (and cat!) lovers. Our own pooch or moggie is the most adorable thing in the world, and that adoration is mutual. Maisie, my bonkers boxer, is so special to me, as Barney is to you, that I cannot imagine how sad it is for you now. Time will heal and then you will be blest with just happy memories rather than sadness.

24 hours on from posting I’d just like to thank my NSC pals for sharing any observations/responses. Much appreciated - I’m glad the pic loaded and you could see what a fine dog he was. It will be tough for a good while but I’ve benefited from sharing my loss. He’ll be with me in spirit next Monday night!
