Interesting from our point of view though. These teams are technically the only two below us, they have not spent what we have either. I think this puts immense pressure on RS now and TB must be looking at these sackings with interest.

The Taylor one was all-too-obvious, but the Barnes/McAteer dream team sacking has left me reeling. What the HELL is happening to 'The Beautiful Game'??!

:dunce:

Why? He's had injuries to key players and a string of sendings off. Whatever you may think, form has picked up somewhat since the first handful of games. Why would the action of other clubs and their boards influence TB and why does their removal put pressure on RS?

Look I am not saying he should be worried, I just think that we have 9 points from 10 games which is not good enough regardless of the excuses. Who is to say that the same problems were not the case at Tranmere and Wycombe. I am not saying it will influence TB but it will not go unnoticed I dare say.

Meopham, Kent.
Peter Taylor "parted company" with Wycombe.

Maybe we are lining him up, with Bloom promising him the funds he was so frustrated not to have last time he was here.

Peter Taylor seems to 'part company' with clubs quite regularly doesn't he?

I think we ought to re-visit the thread where the majority were going on about how wonderful Taylor was.

There were a few who did not think that way. I, for one, said that when the going get's tough, Taylor would go.

99% of the football world knew Barnes would fail at Tranmere. The 1% the Tranmere board.

Peter Taylor and his assistant 'JUNIOR LEWIS'!!!

Seriously, what exactly has Lewis got on Peter Taylor, Taylor can't seem to go anywhere without taking Lewis with him!

Didn't think taylor would go, dont wycombe remember last season? To be honest, neither team has spent anything like what we have but we are barely above them, yet people insist we must keep the faith e.t.c. e.t.c.? We really have got completely the wrong mentality!

I suppose your mentality is shaped by what you've seen before. It wasn't long ago when were really shit. Hopeless players, no money, no ground. 10 years ago I'd have sucked off a tramp to be in this position.*

My opinion that Slade will turn it around isn't just blind optimism, it's an educated guess going on what I've seen so far this season. The performances have been better than some of the results IMHO.

Personally I think sacking the manager because of some injuries and a bit of piss poor defending is the wrong mentality.

*maybe not, but you get my point.
