Hmm, play in red and blue, have an aging squad and an unhappy superstar........has a familiar ring to it???

I like the fact you wait till the fuggers lose 2-8 before you compare thm to Palarse :lolol:

Still, I don't imagine we will ever see he day when Palace score two against Bayern.

10 years on...those 23 year olds are 33, there no longer appears to be the clear production line of talent and rather than buying one superstar each year (neymar, suarez, alba, alves) to aid the team, they have completely changed policy.

Griezmann, vidal, dembele, Coutinho.

3 of those dont fit the style....the 4th seems the most barca player....and instead scored 2 goals for the opposition.

The culture of the club has been lost. Not just a game 2-8

does seem to be the problem, aging squad, lost direction. fair reason for the bedwetting.

Their transfer dealings have been diabolical for years, this was always going to happen. They’ve had no consistent plan at all.

It’s alright though, they’ve got a declining, 30 year old Miralem Pjanic coming this summer having shipped out one of their more talented younger players in Arthur to Juve in return [emoji2357]

Massive rebuild needed and yet they’ve got no money to be able to rebuild. Could be facing years in the doldrums.

So, let me get this right.

Barcelona paid £105m for a player who they then loaned out and subsequently scored two goals against them on Friday ?

A billion Euro's doesn't buy what it used too.

2016 : Alcacer, André Gomes, Umtiti, Digne, Cillessen, Denis : 125M€

2017 : Dembélé, Paulinho, Coutinho, Semedo, Yerry Mina, Deulofeu, Marlon : 375M€

2018 : Malcom, Lenglet, Arthur, Vidal, Murillo : 129M€

2019 : Griezmann, De Jong, Braithwaite, Neto Firpo, Emerson (betis) : 273M€

And people get upset when our recruitment team sometimes get it wrong :lolol:

Not convinced Bielsa is for them. I'd have thought they'd be looking for a more modern approach for their handsomely paid galacticos.

Not some old school taskmaster, even one who has performed something of a miracle in getting a side containing Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling into the Premier League. Much as it would be funny, you don't appoint Bielsa for the long term, do you?

Who’d take him on as the main man? He’s 33.

Can only think of PSG daft enough.

Every team in the world would obviously take him as their main man if they get the chance and can afford it. People on here might think he is overrated etc, but ask any manager and they will tell you its the best player on the planet.
