Did anyone else think he was going to be black before watching the YouTube vid?

with a Greek name like that I didn't, no.....

the quality of the A-League is very poor, so I reckon he'd struggle in the Championship

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
To put things in persepective, someone I used to play under 18s with and was good, but not amazing, moved to NZ and ended up playing in their FA Cup Final.

I played in house leagues against a chap called Frampton. Our house won the house leagues AND the house cup in the final year, despite his presence for the other house. He's made over 350 appearances at Championship and League One level.

I've come back home.
He looks ok...probably helps having a really low frame rate on some of the videos, makes it look like he can cover the whole pitch in three seconds! Anywho lets get him! i reckon we could have an antipodean and south american team by the first game at Falmer!

Looked to have a natural finish about him. Sure the quality in his current league might not be that high but that's what stepping up in your career is about. If he's been scouted by Gus' team I'm excited by the kind of player I'm seeing. If he is signed I'll be excited, Gus' track record in developing players? Already EXCELLENT! Just ask the player of the season.

Like. Do want.

Personally, I prefer to see us buy hungry chaps with a passion on the way up, than some 'has been' who can still roll back the years. The exception being the smooth and graceful Frank Worthington.

The likes of Ward, Zamora, Mayo and Hart have all served us well over the years from very humble beginnings. This kid does look good in a video, but no-one buys players off dvds apart from Sven.
