Why are people so hung up on nationality?

Indeed. But what bothers me is when ignoramuses tell us (Cardiff, Wrexham and Swansea) that we should go and play in our own league, when we're ALREADY playing in our own league. Anybody with any sort of knowledge of Football League history would surely know that.

Wrexham, Cardiff, Swansea, Merthyr, Colwyn Bay and Newport play in the football league structure.
Oswestry (a town in England) are in the Welsh League
Berwick (in England) in the Scottish League.
Derry (up north) in the Eircom League
Monaco (a principality) in Le Championnat.
Vaduz (Liechtenstein) playing in the Swiss League.
Nigel Quashie playing for Scotland
Owen Hargreaves (a Canadian born to English/Welsh parents, living and working in Germany playing for England)
Borders are arbitrary, temporary definitions of statehood.
Can't we just all get along?

Why do some have to keep banging on about the Welsh? It's a pretty dull subject one way and another all that's happening with Cardiff City at the moment is a re-dressing of the balance.

They, like us in many ways, have over-acheived for the last couple of seasons, and now reality is setting in. I know it's good to gloat on these things while we are above them, but they're not even rivals of ours, and it is even more dull to keep reading TLB's posts, because we are just making his team more important than they are....

I think the problem isn't so much the English banging on about the Welsh, it's the Welsh being (sweeping generalisation here) so anti-England.
