Where are the fried onions? Sausage and Mash without fried onions is like a full english without eggs or bacon
In the gravy
I prefer the gravy made with onions but then having lashings of standard fried onions in a pan fried with oil seperately not cooked in the gravy.

Well differ on that one BG. Standalone fried onions are for hot dogs
'Lashings' BG! WTF! This isn't Mallory Towers or 'supper' with The Famous Five!
It sounds obvious, but the main thing to take into account, is the quality of sausage. Always buy from a good quality butchers that make handmade ones as they will have the highest quality of meat and not be filled with cheap fillers like for example Walls pork sausages are.
If you are paying less than £8 for 4 standard size sausages , it's very likely the quality won't be great. Avoid supermarket sausages
By lashings I mean using a large kitchen serving spoon, the ones with holes, in and I will have about 4 or 5 spoonfuls
£2 a sausage?! I'm all for buying good quality meat where I can but that's on a different level.
That's way expensive, my local Butchers does a selection of home made sausages, excellent quality and a tray of 24 is £10.It sounds obvious, but the main thing to take into account, is the quality of sausage. Wife is not a sausage lover as she puts it to many wobbly bits in them usually but we both like Malpass sausages now available in the Indoor market in London Rd.
Same here even at Barfields they are only £5 for 6 sausages.£2 a sausage?! I'm all for buying good quality meat where I can but that's on a different level.

That's a hell of a lot of onions. What's the mash -onion ratio?
