Did anyone see this on Channel 5 last night?

Whatever your feelings on drugs, you've got to feel sorry for the couple who got caught trying to traffic the stuff out of Costa Rica.

It was stupid what they agreed to do but when they found out that they weren't just going to be carrying 5 kilos of cannabis between them as was the original agreement, there was not alot they could do about it.

Liked the way they were being interviewed and then the camera panned out at the end to show that they were actually still in jail!

Scary stuff, which I reckon anyone who would ever consider trafficking should watch first,

They believed that they were to be carrying 5 Kilos of cannabis.

When the package turned out to be anything but, they were not in a position to simply refuse. The dealer had details of where they and their family lived.

Not saying it is right what they did, but they did not seem the "dangerous to society" type you would associate with hardened drug dealers.

Yeah cool bit of camera work there. I thought they had got away with it until the twist at the end.

But they got what they deserved. They were carrying illegal drugs. End of story.

Couldn't care less what they "thought" they were going to be carrying it was still illegal and they were still prepared to take the risk.

String em up.

Very true.

That's why I thought it was a great program, and will make anyone think first before trying such stupidity.

They were also very thick why the hell would someone want them to take 5 kilos of cannabis not enough value to make the risk worth taking.

No sympathy for them at all, they new the risks. It Doesn't matter if it's 1 kilo or 15 kilos they were mindless to do it like so many others.

ridiculous over reaction on this thread,

I felt sorry for them , it was a risk they took and they felt they could do it. When the goal posts moved it must of been shit scary , not sure how you would get out of it , i was thinking maybe they could go back to the dealers outside and try and say they couldnt do it . . . at least they'd get their gear back

Hope they get out soon . .

Yes that bit was very clever. When they referred to the dates in 2004, I assumed they got away with it somehow. Programme was well made.

Eh? The goalposts didn't move until their bags were searched. They didn't once check what they were actually carrying.

They are not the ones dangerous to society. It is the drugs they were trafficking that costs people.

Yeah the panning out bit was class. The girl needed a reality check, all that loved up Ibiza hippy crap of "You know man" "Ten years man" f***ing grow up!

Didn't really understand how their earliest release date was given at the end as 2014 unless they'll serve the full ten.

They'll be back in the UK in 3 years to serve the rest of their sentence. At least they don't have to worry about how to afford to fly back to the UK this time...
