It was so hard to get the three of us in the band to agree. We were nearly called Eyes Of Amun Ra.

Enjoyed myself so much on this thread I think we should keep a permanent band name ideas thread, which people can dip into whenever they need a stunning moniker. Or not. :guitar:

By the way, enjoyed your first Facebook track, mate. Could do with a bit more momentum and attack at times IMHO, but promising sounds. I like a bit of psychedelic space rock now and again.

Hey man thanks for taking a listen! And also thanks for your thoughts on it. Not all of our stuff is gonna be quite like Walk In Fire, we want to get a couple of more upbeat songs going as well. I'm really enjoying this project after spending so many years in a rock/grunge type band

Now I know what's coming, some hilarious suggestions no doubt but that's good old NSC and I wouldn't want it any other way. Hopefully though someone can come up with a band name that is thought provoking and original or at least triggers my mind with ideas.
The band is heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and some of the bands we are influenced by are bands such as Quest For Fire, Moon Duo, Grandaddy, Pond, Mars Red Sky, Mondo Drag.

One of the names that I kind of liked was 'The Kraken' but I think I like the meaning more than the actual name if that makes sense?

After seeing council election posters for this guy several years ago,and I don't know if he's still in power in Brighton. But I often thought that a good band name would be NIMROD PING, after the labour council candidate

i did actually run this by our band at one time (just to get a reaction) and it was worth waiting for, for a moment i was the lepper of the band.
