Lauro is the only one on that list that there could be a discussion about. Caicedo is definitely the best midfielder we have ever had.
Let's see who (C or Mac S) wins the most trophies.

I will disregard the world cup as Caicedo has no chance of winning that owing to suboptimal team mates

Edit Lauro will take a lot of beating trophy wise.

Baleba's going to be incredible & is excellent now but he still has early Bissouma style naivety & silly mistakes about him.
Caicedo with us was pretty much faultless every single game & looked 5 years more experienced than he was. One of the best in the league that last year. At his current rate of improvement Carlos may eclipse that but at the moment? Absolutely not

They're close defensively. Going forward Caicedo had lovely link play; especially little flicks 'round the corner', and threading balls through the 'eye-of-a-needle'.
Beleba (IMO) still tries run the ball too often and gets caught in possession.

And Beleba makes Caicedo look like Ronaldo when it comes to shooting.

BUT Beleba has the potential to be the best midfielder in the premier since Toure and Viera... If only we had someone with the potential of Ali Mac to partner him.
(Sorry this sounds negative. Albion mojo feeling a bit 'meh' at the moment).

As I said to @Mellor 3 Ward 4 and @Kuipers Supporters Club during the game- he was playing with the air of a man who thought he was in the shop window.
Felt the same way. Feels like the Baleba transfer chaos is just around the corner. City won't want to pay, we won't want to sell and player will be very keen on going.

I think he's fast becoming the real deal. Hopefully he'll just get better and better and we'll get another year out of him.

If we finish on a high, then that will help us keep him.

Is Baleba up to Caicedo levels yet? Some incredible tackles yesterday. Personally I think he's got a bit more experience to go but what a player.

(Same clip from the club)

I think he almost as useful as Caicedo at his best, with one key difference at the moment..... Baleba does all those great interventions, steals, control, pass, dribble etc, but he doesn't consistently help the defence when we are in possession by offering himself in space for the first pass out.... Caicedo always made himself a bit of space and an option for a pressure relieving pass from the defence.... Once Baleba adds that to his regular game, he will be pinched by a money team for big money for sure.
