As a caveat, I'm not pretending to be an expert so if someone wants to correct me then please feel free.Is that for stored passwords as when signing in many say do you want us to remember the password or the bank says remember user name.
Anyway, if it's a keylogger, which is the specific example I used, then I believe it would only pick up on things that you'd actually type yourself.
This isn't to say that there aren't types of virus/malware out there that can't mine for that sort of information anyway.
Not too long ago, there was a virus out there that was encrypting files remotely and holding the owner to ransom if they wanted to get into them again.
Again, don't worry too unduly, If you've run a few scans since you clicked the link you're most likely fine, just be a bit more careful in future when clicking links (or pop-ups).
