From Glenn's point of view why would he come back ? Tail between his legs and supporters who slated him ! Forget him he won't come back to you , time to move on .

53 goals in 101 starts.

His goals/games to ratio was constant throughout his time here.

I don't know if he is good enough to lead our line in the Championship, but the rewriting of history and inability to distinguish facts from prejudiced opinion is disappointing. No one knows what happened in the contract talks, apart from Palace gave him a much better offer. If that is because Gus doesn't rate him they why all the fuss anyway?

This is typical of the majority of Nsc posters. A lot of opinions and very few facts.
Got no problem with Crofts personally. Just sick of people going on all the time.

If you're going to read Nsc on a regular basis then see above. You'll be sick for most of the time.

Hoskins to Palace in a swap deal maybe a possibility though?

When Hoskins returns from injury, I think we'll all be surprised at how much he has improved, and how many goals we'll score by having him in the team.

So I take it Crofts coming back hasn't pleased you?

Murray burnt his bridges the second he went to the scum up the road and in my opinion is not a good championship quality striker. We need to improve and move forward. Crofts did not burn any bridges and is now a far better player than when he left and will help us improve.

To put it simply, he scores goals and we don't score enough goals. Plus he is the target man we need to play to CMS' strengths. Get him in.

love him or loathe him, he scores goals and OK he has not scored to many with Palace but they have not used him to his full ability.
I must say that I don't particularly like the man but we need goals and even if he is not to score them then he would make a good foil for CMS and Barnes.
its a case of not allowing heart to rule head.
don't think he would come back even if given the chance anyway

For me the "close-mindednes" interpreted by some is not simply about difficulty accepting a player back from the dark side, but a preference for looking at potential quality elsewhere.
We have a few lads who can make the grade in the Prem, but probably not (not really a revelation here) in the forward positions.
Personally I suspect CMS really can and will rise to meet expectations this season, and we will do better to look at other competition for the forward roles (than Murray).
Perhaps another import if (/since) there's a scarcity in our leagues.
