I've heard that lots of these Championship courses can burn a hole in your pocket, but this seems a bit excessive. Perhaps he was using a Taylor Made Bubble burner.

The scottish word for a steam is burn so why would anyone be surprised to find a burn at Carnoustie. Is a water hazard so one shot penalty for lifting.
