The impression I have got from Gus's press conference on Player, is that Vicente signed with us to play regularly, he had various niggly injuries that prevented him from playing, thus he got rather down in the dumps about it. As I think we all would, if we were living in a foreign land and were prevented from doing one's job by minor annoyances.

Does not necessarily mean that he has mental issues - to me it means that he desparately wanted to play but couldn't. Which sounds like a good thing to me.
absolutely this. :guitar::albion2:

I'll believe it when I see it... I've lost count of the number of times when the club announced he is fit to play, only to later announce that he wasn't going to make the match-day squad...

As I have said repeatedly, I genuinely hope he plays 90 minutes every game until the end of the season - he is undoubtedly a class above - but I very much doubt he will; his injury track record is appalling...

His lack of playing time so far this season HAS caused issues between Gus and Tony, so that's another good reason why I hope he keeps playing...

No one (with a brain) is expecting him to play 90 minutes every game.

Suggests Vicente LIKELY to start tomorrow. Gus delighted that he has trained all week, seems the problems are all but behind him.

Again there are hints that the prolonged absence was partly due to "mental" factors, which I reckon could explain why the club were very wishy washy with excuses when week after week he would be "nearly" fit then not fit. They're not going to come out at the time and say "he has mental problems, bear with us".

The fact they are talking about that at all suggests they are very confident he is over the worst.

Being mental means he will probably get on quite well with Ken Bates.

To be honest any Vicente time is a bonus, and if Gus has the chance to to chuck him out on the pitch he will. From the little we have seen he is quality and he could possibly give us a real chance of pushing from our very handy league position. I really hope he starts saturday.

So you are then?

You are an incredibly agressive poster, any need for it?

You look down on anyone who doubts your impeccable sources, you've been made to look rather silly a few times now on here, both in regards to Vicente, but also your previous signature, which seemed to suggest you felt Tony Bloom OWED you something.

Have you ever written anything positive without having a caveat?

100% this. Watching the Lords press conference, it would appear that Vincente was just pissed off and down in the dumps that he couldn't play. As any pro footballer would be

I would like Vicente to be on the bench tomorrow - and come on and perform a bit of magic if we need it. But I'd love him to START at Anfield. We will need 'quality' for 90 mins there.
Leeds is far more important than the liverpool game,if anything we should rest players for that game.

We need points, not a mini cup run.
